It’s one of the reasons we charge a whole lot less for our check-ups than the other guys. And don’t let the price fool you–our maintenance visits are as comprehensive as they get. A total top-to-bottom assessment of your home’s thermostat settings, air filter change out*, refrigerant levels, breakers, safety devices, and much more. What factors affect the cost of a system maintenance?

Check-up cost: Most contractors will charge a set price to arrive at your home and perform the check-up. These prices range from $50 to a few hundred dollars or more. At Jack Harrison, we charge just $79 for our 15-point check-up, and depending on the deals and specials we have available, that price can go down even more!
25-Point System Tune-up or VIP Maintenance Plan: If you’ve signed up for our VIP maintenance plan agreement, you’ll likely have your Tune-ups bundled into an annual charge. Jack Harrison’s VIP maintenance plan includes two in-home maintenance visits.One for spring AC which includes an outdoor coil cleaning, and one for fall Heating/furnace tune-up). Our VIP maintenance will save you on repairs and equipment purchases over the lifespan of your system. You can purchase the 25-point Tune-up on it’s own or as part of your VIP Plan.
Suggested repairs: From time to time, a technician may encounter a part that hasn’t quite failed yet, but may soon. Part of the tune-up process is being proactive, so we want to make you aware of any part that may fail in the near future. You’re always welcome to say no to any suggestion of course, or book a return visit to resolve the repair. If you do decide to replace the part during your tune-up, the pros at Jack Harrison will be happy to help.

Get a Finely-Tuned HVAC System in Just Three Steps

Step 1: Request your Maintenance Visit
Requesting a 15-point Check-up or 25-point Tune-up with Jack Harrison is as easy as picking up the phone and calling (913) 308-3131. Alternatively, you can request your appointment online. If you’re the forgetful type, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with same-day reminders over the phone. We even send you a text with your technician’s bio and photo as well as their ETA when they’re on the way.
Step 2: Receive a system bill of health
Your technician will arrive right on time and get to work on your system maintenance. With your 15-point check-up or 25-point Tune-up, we will check your thermostat, air filter, refrigerant levels (air conditioning related), breaker, run a test cycle, inspect for gas leaks (furnace-related), check safety devices, and much more! Once the maintenance is performed, our expert technician will report back to you with all findings and any recommendations.
Step 3: Resolve any outstanding repairs, if desired
Maintenance visits don’t always turn up issues that need to be addressed. But every now and again, your technician may suggest replacing a part that’s on its last leg. The pros at Jack Harrison are always honest with you, and will never try to sell you a part you don’t need. Whether you decide to resolve the issue then and there or wait for a later date, we completely understand. We simply want the best outcome for our customers.

Check-Up or Tune-Up?

Check‑Up vs. Tune‑Up: Which Is Right for Me?

Jack Harrison offers two types of maintenance visits, which we call our “Check-Ups” and our “Tune-Ups.”

15-point AC or Heating Check-Up for $79: This is a fully involved inspection as well as the best option for someone who recently had a new system installed but needs to keep their warranty valid with annual maintenance to each system.
25-point AC or Heating Tune-Up for $149: This includes an outdoor coil cleaning during the AC maintenance season. This is the best option for homeowners who have systems that have had previous repairs or issues and older systems. Also ideal for people who have purchased a new home and need a full report card and cleaning. This tune-up is also the same tune-up offered in our VIP Maintenance plans.
